The largest bell in Notre Dame's bell tower is named Emmanuel.  It was cast in 1631 and weighs 28,000 pounds.  It is located in the south tower. Its clapper is 500 kg.

The West Rose Window dates back to 1220.  It contains most of its original glass.  The window's diameter is 10 meters.

The King's Gallery holds statues of bibical kings and figures.  During the French Revolution, rebels thought that were French Kings, not bibical ones, so they chopped off the statues' heads.

In the year of 1804, Napoleon Bonaparte asked Pope Pius VII to crown him emperor at the Notre Dame Cathedral.  The Pope agreed to perform the ceremony.  Moments before the Pope could crown him, Napoleon jumped up, seized the crown, and made himself emperor.

Many cathedrals have relics.  Notre Dame claims to have the real crown of thorns that was thrust upon Christ's head as He made his way to Calvary.  It is kept in this lavishly decorated case.
